How Gould Arrests Move
Gould is Lincoln County's second-largest incorporated city, home to 663 people in the 2020 Census. The Encyclopedia of Arkansas places it on the county's eastern side, along U.S. 65 and the Union Pacific line. That history sets it apart. Other towns named Gould do not share that past. It does not give the city its own booking system, though. A Gould Police Department does exist. Its arrests can land in the Lincoln County Detention Center. From there, the sheriff's vendor roster is the practical public custody source.
A police report and a jail record do different jobs. The report may describe the stop. It may also cover the arrest itself. The jail record tracks booking, charges, custody, bond, and court fields. One roster field, "Arrested By," is often blank. A missing label proves nothing about which office acted. For later hearings, judgments, and case outcomes, search ARCourts.
Where Gould Arrests Appear
Gould publishes no city arrest log. There is no daily bulletin, social blotter, or booking-photo page on a city host either. County sources lead the way. Each one tracks a different custody stage, and none works as a running archive.
| Channel | Coverage | Standing | Photo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates | People now shown in county custody | Official operational roster | When loaded |
| New Inmates | Bookings in the last 48 hours | Official operational view | When loaded |
| Recent Releases | Released in the last 48 hours | Official operational view | May appear |
| Search ARCourts | Case trail and disposition | Official court source | No |
| RecentlyBooked | Claimed 30-day county view | Unofficial, may be incomplete | Often |
Someone released or transferred leaves the current list. A sentenced prisoner moves into a different system. The Arkansas Department of Corrections search covers that population. It does not show fresh Gould bookings, though.
Find a Gould Booking
Start with the county path. No verified city feed exists. Use a birthdate or middle name to separate people who share a name. A photo alone is never final identification.
- Check New Inmates for the stated 48-hour window.
- Check Current Inmates if the person may still be held.
- Review Recent Releases if release may have occurred within 48 hours.
- Call the Lincoln County jail when intake is recent or fields are blank.
- Search ARCourts for the post-booking case and disposition.
- Request the precise arrest or booking record from its likely custodian.
The roster offers a select-name control and sorting by name or arrest date. There is no deep keyword search. Open the whole entry. A booking photo, address, arrest time, agency, charges, bond, court date, and release details may appear. Some fields sit blank. The Lincoln County recent-arrests guide shows how those fields fit together.
Note: An empty page or blank agency field is not proof that no Gould arrest occurred.
Gould Police Arrest Records
A secondary public directory lists the Gould Police Department at 301 N Gould Ave, Gould, AR 71643. The phone shown is 870-263-4907. The department runs no official website. No records policy, request form, or fee schedule appears anywhere. Treat the listing as a lead and call first.

This is a secondary directory contact, not a confirmed records-unit line.
Arkansas FOIA supports a narrow written request. Name the person, the approximate arrest date, and the exact record you want. Electronic copies and an itemized cost estimate are fair asks. The city may say the county holds it. Then go to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office or the detention center. The sheriff association lists the jail at 30270 State Hwy 11 South, Star City. Its number is 870-628-6084. Other directories give 300 S Drew St instead, so confirm the mailing address first.
Gould Arrest Timing Limits
The county's new-booking page is not a same-day report. Its heading reads "Inmates Booked in Last 48 Hours." It can show zero inmates and a message reading "Inmates not found." That display means little on its own. The vendor posts no refresh schedule, so entries may appear at intake, after review, or in batches.
Processing can lag behind public display. Someone just arrested may not appear right away. Call the jail instead of guessing. Once the 48-hour window closes, a person still confined appears on Current Inmates. A released person rolls off, since Recent Releases also covers just 48 hours and keeps no archive; the Daily Arrest Report explains that short window.
Gould Record Context
Place names in arrest and court records can get confusing. The Encyclopedia of Arkansas Gould entry settles the basics. It confirms which Gould a record refers to. Use it as the city-identity reference.

Historical context only goes so far. A city history cannot tell you who is in custody today. For current arrest and custody facts, go straight to the sheriff, jail, police, or court. That confirmation step is yours.
Gould Arrest News Sources
Two unofficial aggregators carry Lincoln County sections: Busted Newspaper and RecentlyBooked. No Gould newspaper runs its own booking page. Busted digs into deeper county pages. RecentlyBooked labels its view "last 30 days." Neither is official. Either can omit, duplicate, or keep an entry after the county page changes.
The Arkansas Press Association directory lists the Lincoln Ledger as a weekly and Pine Bluff Commercial as a daily. County arrest and court coverage there runs story by story, not as a full Gould blotter. News adds agency names and hearing context. Check it against jail and court records. A paper's silence never means no arrest happened.
After a Gould Arrest
An arrest and a court case are two different tracks. After a Gould arrest, the Lincoln County roster tells you who is in jail right now. A person listed there may bond out or get released. They may also move to another facility, or land in state custody after sentencing. For custody alerts, Arkansas VINE offers notices where Lincoln County participates. The state Department of Corrections search is a separate tool. It is meant for sentenced prisoners rather than local booking intake.
Court records live elsewhere. Search ARCourts can surface filings, amended charges, hearings, judgments, and final outcomes. Some cases stay sealed or out of view. If a name search leaves you guessing, ask the clerk which court holds the file. Keep booking sources and court sources apart, and note the date you checked each one.
Older arrests need patience. The short public windows may show nothing at all. Arkansas law treats jail logs, fingerprint cards, and booking photographs as booking records. They are kept for at least five years. That rule does not promise five years of online access, though. Ask the record custodian instead of assuming a vanished entry was erased. For very old cases, the State Archives can assist. Certified court copies come only from the clerk.
